My name is Rich , I'm newly retired from multiple careers including Engineering (the bulk of my working life - Aeronautical/Mechanical), IT, as well as wooden boatbuilding and repair. I'm also a Photographer, Musician (54 years as a drummer, and now learning bass). My wife and I own a wooden Friendship Sloop, and sail her along the coast of Maine. Finally, my wife and I are also avid scuba divers.

I've built one wooden boat model, the Midwest Dory below.

Also a member of Model Ship World.

Welcome to DDM Rich. Good job on the dory. Do you have a project you are working on at the moment?

Thank you and Thank you!

I have the Model Shipways 1:48 18th Century Longboat Kit (MS1457) coming from Model Expo. However, I just had rotator cuff repair surgery completed on my left shoulder, so I won't be able to start any projects until early November.

Thanks & Regards,

Rich

Welcome on board, Rich and a lot of fun during your next build.
