Undecided what to build, fancy a look at what others are building, then you have come to the right thread, this was popular on MSW1,2 and 3. all mediums are welcome, from wood to plastic, card to clay

Members are invited to post a one off photo of any current maritime build, in profile view only.

As the build progresses, insert a photo, but delete your previous entry. You can have as many builds as you like.

NO comments to be left, this is not another build log

A link to the build log for the photo can be included.

In addition to my USF Essex, I am attempting my first scratch build. This is the Colonial Schooner Sultana. So far I am happy with the results.

Beaver's Prize, my first fully framed model, still under construction for 12 years 😅 Working on the lower deck, more pics of the deck is in the build log.

I am using Hahn's construction method (equal spacing of the frames for aesthetics, every frame is glued to the jig that helps to hold the model during the build) and his frame drawings, otherwise mostly following the TFFM books and the original NMM plans.

Building it in the corner of my living room, which might be relatable for modellers with an apartment and no workshop.

In my log I am trying to share the struggles and construction methods, hope someone would find them useful 😊
