Just got to the section about making the yards so I thought i'd bring the log up todate.
Added the sheer poles aligning the shrouds and giving a started point for the ratlines.

Rigged the ratlines using a backing template. I've never used a template as was a great help keeping at the rope steps spaced accurately. Having the steps accurately placed allowing me to tie each of the inner steps using a clove hitches.

After all the ratlines and adjustments completed using a diluted white glue to secure step placement.
Topmast shrouds completed starting with sieving two lines per side. Making sure to glue to the spreaders then to tie a block to shroud. A line run through a block with hooked to an eyebolt on the channel.
The topmast stay was from block on the top and run through a block on tip of the bowsprit up to mast top and down tied a cleat ar the bottom of the mast.
A line was from a block on the lower stay down to bowsprit up to the stay block and dow to a cleat on the lower mast.

I sincerely hope she's a professional. I'd hate to think someone had that level of skill and artistry and for it to just be their hobby.

The muzzle covers are called "tampions (or tompions)." Cannon also had an "apron", a small sheet of lead that covered the flintlock to further protect the muzzle from moisture primarily. Unlike ships of the line, smaller warships couldn't store their cannon internally and had to protect the muzzles that were constantly open to the elements.

Okay... I wasn't happy with the fit of the "mizzen mast base ring" included with the kit—there was a bit of a gap on both sides—so I decided to make one myself. I deliberately kept the fit snug; since the dowel in the video isn't the final mast, I can still tweak it a little later on 😇

Made a dumb little clip about the process 😁

Next time I will do a proper update instead of only a little ring that I made 🤣

For almost 10 years, I didn’t touch the ship at all. I even moved it to my parents' house, where it stayed wrapped in packaging film all that time. I wasn’t sure if it would sit there for another decade. There was no time for hobbies whatsoever—I spent all my free time traveling. But when the war began and borders were closed, that was taken from me.
But exactly 10 years later, I returned to the build... and I’ll go on to show what else I accomplished over the next couple of years before putting the project on hold once again. So, there’s still plenty of interesting stuff to come.
